28 Oct Hirotaka Akiba is the runner-up in the 1A division of the 2020 Japan National! Masahiro Terada took 3rd place!
Team yoyorecreation’s Hirotaka Akiba took second place in the 1A division of the 2020 Japan National Yo-Yo Championships, held October 24-25 in Iwakura, Aichi Prefecture. Akiba using CHOPSTICK GORILLA. Although there were some sluggish moments in the beginning, he was able to pull off his signature chopstick configuration.
He was not able to win again, but he won the second place with pride.
Masahiro Terada finished in 3rd place, his best ever finish. Terada used OVERDRIVE DRAUPNIR. His unique rhythmic combos earned him a high score.
Arata Imai finished in 9th place. Imai used his signature model INEVITABLE. His freestyle was a gorgeous composition full of future combos that only he can do.
Imai was also the runner-up in the 2A division. He is a leader in the Japanese yo-yo world!
Toru Miyazaki came in 10th place. Although he didn’t score well, he showed us his freestyle of fast, complex, and clean combos.
