10 Mar Izuru Hasumi Wins West Japan Yo-yo Contest!
Team Yoyorecreation member Izuru Hasumi took home the 1A division title at the West Japan Yo-yo contest held on the 5th March 2017.
Using the Sigtyr, Izuru performed with a level of consistency which exceeded his already high levels.
His three minute freestyle was near flawless, and was packed with elegant slacks, well-utilised regenerations, and high-speed horizontal combos.
We look forward to watching his Nationals freestyle, where he will be seeded directly to the finals.
The 4A division saw a world-changing performance by Takumi Hakamata.
Takumi showed off his incredible technical ability using the C-NINE, and took home the 4A title.
Every trick in his finals routine was either extremely high-risk, or laced with tasteful originality. It is certainly a freestyle worth watching and re-watching.
