09 Jun Minato Furuta takes 3rd place in the 3A division of the 2016 Japan National Yo-yo Contest
Team Yoyorecreation member Minato Furuta took home 3rd place at the 2016 Japan National Yo-yo Contest held in Osaka on the 28th and 29th May.
This year, Minato was using the new-model Triads as his weapon of choice. Minato landed difficult trick after difficult trick, even hitting his gyro-horizontal transition cleanly. Though its disappointing that he didn’t place higher, this freestyle was certainly close to being one of his best.
Using the Valkyrie, Mizuki Takimoto placed in at 7th place.
Even though Mizuki missed out some of the tricks he had planned because of mistakes, he still attained a top level technical score.
Understandably, he was disappointed with how his freestyle went, but we expect he’ll be back with a vengeance for the Asia Contest.
