Takumi Yasumoto takes 3rd in the 4A division of the 2016 Japan National Yo-yo Contest

Team Yoyorecreation member Takumi Yasumoto took home 3rd place in the 4A division of the 2016 Japan National Yo-yo Contest held in Osaka on the 28th and 29th of May 2016.

After having achieved 2nd place at the 2015 World Yo-yo Contest, Takumi got up on stage equipped with the C-NINE with the expectation of walking away with the Japanese national title.
Takumi hit some of the best regeneration combos in the world, along with some mind-bending horizontal combos. These, combined with a plethora of slack and chopstick combos would surely have been enough to win if it were not for the drops he suffered.

Even so, Takumi once again showed the world a level of trick-variety once thought unachievable in the 4A division, and kept the audience glued to their seats. There is no doubt that this was yet another one of Takumi’s freestyles to go on and stimulate more 4A creativity across the yo-yo community.
