28 Feb Ryota Ogi Wins the East Japan Yo-yo Contest B Block!
Yoyorecreation team-member Ryota Ogi took 1st place in the 1A division of the East Japan Yo-yo Contest B-block held in Sendai on the 27th February.
After dominating the prelims round as we have come to expect from the 1A veteran, Ryota performed what was perhaps one of his most prominent finals freestyles in his competitive career.
Despite the freestyle being intense and fast paced to go with his music choice, Ryota performed trick after high-speed trick with incredible consistency.
Tallying a record score of 91.9, he successfully took his second consecutive EJ-B title.
Now that he has the finals seed for Japan Nationals, we expect that he’ll be putting in work to make a big impact on the National stage.
